  1. I’m not a Comcast customer and got the message saying that unless I don’t call, I would lose the 50% discount. Since I’m not a customer, and therefore I don’t have any contract, this time they erred in sending the message; it’s definitely a scam

    1. You are correct. The scammers generally send out their notifications to anyone, customers or not. If you are a customer, it makes it a little more difficult to recognize as a scam.

  2. Just received a call from this number and the same scam. What is bad is that when you call the number back, it sounds like Comcast’s phone system.

  3. Just to contribute to the dialogue… I received this voicemail today in Colorado. They tried to get me to prepay the first 12-months ($720) just by verifying my direct deposit information. Don’t fall for this.

    1. Thanks for adding to the convo — that’s a really sneaky (and bold) version of the scam. Trying to get direct deposit info upfront is a huge red flag. Glad you caught it, and major thanks for sharing the details — it helps others stay one step ahead!

  4. Last evening I received a call from (Xfinity) from Kinderhock, Il. 217-426-0539 stating a problem with my account that I would loose my 50% discount. if I did not call immediately to straighten it out. Didn’t fall for this!

    1. Nice work not falling for it! That 50% discount threat is one of the big red flags in this scam — they’re really trying to create panic so people act fast without thinking. Appreciate you sharing the number they used too. Every report like this helps more folks avoid getting tricked.

  5. Thomas A. Mazzola

Just had a Person trying to offer me discount Comcast billing… The thing that bothers me is they know what my existing Comcast monthly bill.
The number they called from is 406 287-1812… it seems legit when they answer as Comcast. The direct line to billing is 833-312-2554

    1. That’s definitely unsettling — when scammers know details like your actual bill amount, it makes the whole thing feel a lot more legit. They’re getting smarter with the info they use and how they present themselves, which is why this scam is catching so many people off guard. Thanks for sharing the numbers they used — every report helps others stay ahead of it. If you haven’t already, YouMail can block a lot of these before they even ring.

  6. Lea Sommers

Got a message from Comcast offering me a discount on my bill of 50%. I’m not a Comcast customer who I knew it was a scam. The number they used to call me is 469-840-2967

    1. Good eye! That scam’s making the rounds big time — and they’re not even checking if people are actual Comcast customers. Thanks for calling out the number they used; the more people share these, the easier it is to spot the patterns. Stay sharp!

  7. Just got a voicemail from Comcast/Xfinity, +1(551)379-7129 about the 50% discount expiration. Since no phone call was logged and I don’t have an account with them, it must be a Scam. Number blocked.

    1. Good catch — and yep, that sounds like the scam we called out in the article. They’re hitting tons of people with that fake “50% off your bill” pitch, even folks who don’t have Xfinity. Blocking the number was definitely the right move, though unfortunately, they usually rotate to new ones. Appreciate you sharing the number — every bit of info helps others stay ahead of it!
